AI services, done for you.

t-ai-t consultancy: bespoke AI, described by you, built by us. Practical solutions for real-life problems.

I'm Mark, and t-ai-t consultancy is my plain-English AI service for small businesses and anyone who's wondered whether AI could actually help them. Tell me what's eating your week, at work or at home. I'll tell you straight, in writing, whether AI can help. If it can, I'll set it up for you.

No jargon, and everything comes back in writing so you can keep it.

Sound familiar?

Most people aren't short of ideas. They're short of hours. And every time they look into AI, they get buried in jargon, hype and people selling courses.

If you run a small business

  • “I answer the same five questions every day.”

Opening hours, prices, availability, “did you get my email?” You're the business owner and the help desk too.

Fix: a website assistant answering routine questions and passing tricky ones on.

  • “Enquiries slip through while I'm doing the actual work.”

By the time you reply, they've gone with someone else.

Fix: an AI receptionist or assistant that collects enquiries and summarises them.

  • “My invoices live in my inbox, my van and a shoebox.”

    Friday afternoons disappear into admin.

Fix: AI admin that reads, files and reminds, with you approving.

  • “I know I should post more. I never do.”

You're busy running the place, not writing captions.

Fix: a Digital Ghostwriter turning your rough lines into posts you approve.

  • “We pay for apps nobody opens.”

Subscriptions keep going out, and nobody's quite sure what half of them do.

Fix: a written look at your week that flags duplicate subscriptions.

  • “My website looks dated and nobody gets in touch.”

It hasn't been touched in years, and the enquiries have dried up.

Fix: a simple, fast landing page with a form that reaches you.

If it's just you

  • “Everyone talks about AI. What's it actually for?”

A fair question. Nobody's given you a straight answer.

Fix: a plain-English walkthrough of a few uses that suit your life.

  • “Letters and forms pile up because I dread them.”

Official letters, applications, complaints, the council.

Fix: AI that explains each letter simply and drafts a reply you check.

  • “My inbox is mostly newsletters I never asked for.”

And the important things get buried.

Fix: AI that sorts your inbox so the important emails rise to the top.

  • “I tried ChatGPT once and didn't know what to ask.”

So it's been sitting there ever since.

Fix: a short session showing you what to ask, using your own tasks.

  • “I want to give them something really special for their birthday.”

Something personal, not another thing off a shelf.

Fix: a short personalised AI video made from your photos and memories.

If any of that made you nod, you're in the right place. You don't need the right words or the names of any tools. Describe it the way you'd describe it to a friend, and I'll do the translating.

What t-ai-t consultancy does

You hand it over. I hand it back sorted.

t-ai-t consultancy works like a service wash for the dull stuff. You tell me which jobs keep eating your time. I work out which ones AI can genuinely handle, set it up, check it works properly, and hand it back with simple written notes. You don't have to learn a new tool or sit through a course. You get your time back.

  • You talk normally

No jargon needed. If you can describe the problem, that's enough.

  • I do the technical part

I pick the tools, set them up and test them, and I check every job myself.

  • You keep what you get

It's set up in your name with notes you can follow, and ongoing support is there if you want it.

For example

Example scenarios to show what's possible, not client results.

  • Example Sam, taxi driver

Before “I can't answer while I'm driving, so bookings go to someone else.”

After An AI receptionist answers his calls, takes the booking and texts Sam a summary.

  • Example Fiona, joinery office

Before “Invoices arrive by email, by post and in van footwells.”

After AI reads and files them. Fiona just approves the odd ones.

  • Example Leanne, salon owner

Before “Late cancellations leave empty chairs.”

After Automatic reminders, and any cancelled slot is offered to a waiting list.

  • Example Jean, at home

Before “Official letters pile up because I dread opening them.”

After An AI assistant on her phone explains each letter in plain English and drafts a reply.

And if AI isn't the answer to your problem, I'll say so. Sometimes the answer is a better folder, not a robot.

How it works

Two ways in. Pick whichever suits you. Both end up in the same place: with me.

Route A

Not sure what you need? Chat to Brendan first.

Brendan is my AI assistant and your first port of call. He's good at turning “I just wish this bit was easier” into an actual idea. He'll ask a few friendly questions, then pass me a tidy summary when you choose to send one. He always says he's an AI, and he won't make up prices.

Chat with Brendan

Route B

Know what you want? Use the form.

Tell me in a few plain lines what you'd like done. No forms within forms, no jargon required.

Go to the form

Every job is done by me, Mark, a real person. I read every enquiry and reply in writing.

After that, it's three steps, all in writing, so you've always got something to come back to.

  1. Tell me what's eating your time

Use the short form or email me. A few lines in plain words is perfect, and no question is too basic.

  2. Get a straight answer

I'll reply in writing: what AI can do for you, what it can't, and what I'd suggest. If it's a job for me, you get a clear written quote before anything starts.

  3. I set it up, and you keep it

I do the work, check it myself, and hand it over with simple notes. If something isn't right, I'll put it right. Reasonable tweaks are included. I agree the scope with you in writing up front, and bigger changes get a clear quote first.

What I can take off your hands

These are the jobs people ask about most. If yours isn't here, ask anyway. Every job gets a clear written quote first.

Can't pick up while you're driving, up a ladder or mid-haircut? Handy for taxi drivers, trades, salons and anyone whose hands are usually full.

Landing pages and websites that actually work

Simple, fast, honest landing pages and small websites for small businesses, built with AI help. Your contact form works and lands in your inbox. If you want them, I can add optional automations: sorting enquiries, booking or pay links, and reminders. You get a plain-English handover, so you know how it all fits together.

This site is the example: I built it the same way. Small sites only, though. I don't build big custom software or web apps.

Signature service

the t-ai-t Engine

This is the set-up I run my own working life on, built for you. A Chief of Staff AI sits at the centre, with a team of AI agents I call t-ai-t/bots around it, each with its own job. Together they help organise your business, or your working life if it's just you: keeping track of tasks, sorting what comes in and getting the routine work moving.

Every Engine is built around how you actually work, so it's my premium service and priced by bespoke quote. You stay in charge, and you approve all the important stuff.

Ask me about the t-ai-t Engine
  • A plain-English look at your week

I look at how your week actually runs and give you a short written plan: what's worth handing to AI, in what order, and what isn't. I'll also point out any subscriptions doing the same job twice.

  • Enquiries and customer questions

A website assistant (like Brendan) that answers the routine questions, collects enquiries round the clock and passes anything tricky to you, with the whole conversation attached.

  • Admin that does itself

Invoices and receipts read and filed, emails sorted, reminders sent, forms filled in. The repetitive bits run in the background, and you approve anything that matters.

  • The Digital Ghostwriter

Send me a few rough lines and I'll turn them into posts, newsletters and emails in your own voice. You approve before anything goes out.

  • The Information Sieve

A short weekly brief on the industry reading you never get round to, with the noise filtered out.

  • AI video and online ads

Short AI videos and ads for social media and the web, made from your rough idea, and you approve them before they go anywhere. Backed by my Generative AI for Creative Professionals course with the University of Oxford.

  • Creative and design

Videos, images, posters and merchandise, from your rough idea to a finished result.

  • Getting you (or your team) actually using AI

Hands-on help using your own work, not generic examples. You leave with a saved set of instructions you can reuse.

  • AI for everyday life

An AI assistant set up on your phone or laptop, with written how-tos for letters, forms, emails and planning. I'll tidy your inbox and calendar while I'm at it.

  • Making Tax Digital help for sole traders and landlords

Getting your records into MTD-compatible software and keeping them tidy. (I'm not an accountant and don't give tax advice.)

What I do, and what I don't

What I do

  • Set up AI that takes routine jobs off your hands: enquiries, admin, phone answering, writing and research.
  • Build fast, clear websites and creative work, from rough idea to finished result.
  • Help you (or your team) actually use AI, with written how-tos you can keep.
  • Help sole traders and landlords get records into Making Tax Digital software.
  • Give you a clear written quote before anything starts.
  • Aftercare once the job's done: if something needs a tweak or you get stuck, you can come back to me.
  • An optional monthly retainer for ongoing support and improvements as the tech develops. It can also help keep upfront costs lower. Optional, agreed in writing, cancel any time.

What I don't do

I like to be upfront about what I don't do. That way nobody wastes their time, and you know I'll only say yes to things I can do well.

  • I don't book or plan trips for you. If a flight or hotel goes wrong, it's your holiday that suffers. I'm happy to show you how to use AI travel planners yourself so you stay in charge.
  • I don't set up AI that gives legal, medical, tax or financial advice. I'm not qualified, and AI gets these things wrong with a lot of confidence. I can help you use AI to tidy up notes or draft questions to take to your accountant, solicitor or GP.
  • I don't build anything that sends emails, messages or payments with nobody checking. Every setup I do keeps a human in the loop, and usually that human is you. It's quicker than you'd think.
  • I don't do spam, scraping or mass cold-outreach bots. They damage your reputation and can break data protection law. I can help you write better emails to the people who actually asked to hear from you.
  • I don't do deepfakes, voice cloning or AI pretending to be a real person. I can help you make honest content that's clearly yours.
  • I don't handle health records, children's data or other sensitive personal information. That needs specialist safeguards. I'm happy to point you towards the ICO's free guidance for small businesses.
  • I don't build trading bots, crypto schemes or “get rich with AI” systems. Sorry!
  • I don't build big custom software or “the next ChatGPT”. I'm one person setting up practical tools that already exist. If you need a development team, I'll tell you honestly.

Also good to know: I work entirely in writing (email, or chat with Brendan once it's live), with no phone calls, so we both have a clear record.

And if it's not a good fit, I'll say so honestly and point you somewhere better.

Mark Tait, founder of t-ai-t consultancy

Why t-ai-t consultancy

Hi, I'm Mark. Here's what you can count on.

I'm Mark Tait. I started t-ai-t consultancy while using AI to build my own music business, and quickly saw how many small businesses and individuals want AI to help but don't know where to start. Everything I offer is road-tested on my own businesses first, so you only get what actually works, explained in plain English.

  • You deal with me. t-ai-t consultancy is just me, Mark Tait, a sole trader. Every message reaches me, and I check every piece of work before it comes back to you.
  • No jargon, no hype. I'll explain things the way I'd explain them to a neighbour. If something's oversold, I'll tell you.
  • Everything in writing. Answers, quotes and how-tos you can keep and come back to whenever you like. Nothing gets lost in a chat you half remember.
  • Honest about AI. Brendan always says he's an AI, and anything I build for you will say the same to your customers. A human is always one step away.
  • No lock-ins. You keep what I set up. Ongoing support is optional, agreed in writing, cancel any time.
  • Your information, handled carefully. I only use what you send me to do your job, and I'll tell you in plain English which tools will see it. How I handle data. Tools I use include Claude, Grok, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini and Hermes, picked to suit the job.

Brendan, the t-ai-t consultancy assistant: a friendly black and gold robot with glowing eyes and a smile, floating among the stars

Your friendly assistant

Meet Brendan

“He's the only bot you'll ever have to talk to. He does the translating so I can do the work.”

Brendan is my AI assistant. Type to him right here. Tell him what's been eating your time, and he'll ask a few simple questions so that when I pick it up, I already know what you need. He'll always tell you he's an AI, he won't make up prices, and whatever you choose to send, I read.

Brendan is an AI. Whatever you send, a human (me) reads it and replies.

Quotes

Every job is different, so every quote is too

Tell me what you need and you'll get a clear written quote before anything starts. Small jobs are priced small.

  • The price is agreed in writing before I begin, so there are no surprises.
  • Payment terms are set out in your quote, so you know exactly where you stand.
  • If it isn't worth doing, I'll tell you.

t-ai-t consultancy is not VAT registered, so no VAT is added.

Ask for a quote

Fair questions

I don't know the first thing about AI. Is this for me?

Yes. That's exactly who it's for. You tell me the problem in your own words, and the technical side is my job.

Is it just for businesses?

No. Plenty of the jobs that eat people's time happen at home: letters, forms, emails, planning. If it's taking your time, it counts.

How much will it cost?

It depends on the job, so I don't have a price list. You get a clear written quote before anything starts, with the payment terms set out in it. Small jobs are priced small. t-ai-t consultancy is not VAT registered, so no VAT is added.

How do I get in touch?

Use the enquiry form, email brendan@t-ai-t.com, or chat with Brendan. Everything comes back in writing, so you've got clear answers you can keep. I'll reply in writing as soon as I can.

What happens after the job's done?

You keep what I set up, with written notes. If something needs a tweak or you get stuck, come back to me. If you'd like ongoing support and improvements as the tech develops, there's an optional monthly retainer, which can also help keep upfront costs lower. It's optional, agreed in writing, cancel any time.

What happens to my information?

I only use it to answer you and do the job you've asked for, and I'll tell you which tools will see it before I start. The privacy notice has the details.

What if AI can't help with my problem?

Then I'll tell you. A straight “no” beats an expensive “maybe”.

Ask in writing

What's eating your time?

A few lines is plenty. I'll reply in writing as soon as I can, with a clear answer: what AI can and can't do for you, and what I'd suggest.

No jargon needed. Plain words are perfect.

Prefer plain email? Write to brendan@t-ai-t.com. It comes straight to me.

So I can write back to you.

Plain words are perfect. For example: “I spend every Sunday night answering booking emails” or “I've no idea what to ask ChatGPT.”

Fields marked * are required. Your message is sent securely via Formspree and comes straight to me. I'll only use your details to reply to you by email. See the privacy notice.
